evildirtydave asked: Two questions really how long dose it take for you (and the other cosplayer's) to make the costumes? How did you get into it?

It depends on the costume. I’ve created one in a couple days, one in a week, etc. Ivy has taken the longest. I’ve worked (she’s still not complete!) on it for several weeks now. Every thing was done by hand. I even made the vines from scratch.

I got into cosplay and costuming last spring (2011). A year prior I had attended a small convention and discovered what cosplayers did and what they were about. Their talent and presence inspired me the following year to pursue it. Since then I have attended 10 conventions all over the east coast and currently have seven costumes.
